AGU GRADUATE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES APPLICATION INFORMATION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
International Applicants:
One of the following exam results is mandatory for International Graduate Applications:
- GRE Quantitative Reasoning score of minimum 153 (or 680 according to the old score system).
- GMAT score of minimum 500.
- Graduate Assessment Test GAT™-GENERAL score of minimum 70% for GAT-Accumulative and 28% for GAT-Quantitative Reasoning sections.
- GRE & GMAT scores are valid for five years.
One of the following minimum scores as proof of English Proficiency:
- TOEFL IBT: 87 (TOEFL IBT scores are valid for two years)
- PTE: 74 (PTE scores are valid for two years)
- YDS/e-YDS/UDS/KPDS: 73 (YDS/e-YDS/UDS/KPDS scores are valid for five years)
- AGU English Exemption Exam* (AGU-IMS Exam): 70 (minimum sub-score per each section)
Turkish Applicants:
ALES SAY-EA score of minimum 70 (ALES scores are valid for 5 years. It is obligatory for Turkish students to have an ALES score)
One of the following minimum scores as proof of English Proficiency:

GENERAL RULES
The Equivalency Table between 4.00 and 100 Grading Systems prepared by Council of Turkish Higher Education (YOK) serves as the basis for GPA conversions.
EVALUATION PROCESS
The applicant should attend a personal interview at AGU after successfully passing the online application. The names of the students to attend the interview are announced in the graduate school website in a few days after the application deadline. The interview date and place is announced in the graduate school website (in advance).
For applicants applying a M.Sc. program, his/her final application grade is calculated by adding up %50 of ALES (or GRE) score, %15 of undergraduate GPA, %35 of interview grade.For an applicant to be accepted to the graduate school, his/her application grade should be minimum 75/100.

The following documents should be uploaded to the system for online application (No need to mail any document at this stage). Original documents are needed during the interview and registration.

* Citizens of the Republic of Turkey and foreign students who studied in a university abroad must submit a certificate of recognition from the Higher Education Council (YÖK).
